  1. 0:00

This evening, what time this morning, we’ll see the inside is a little different. It’s a little bit different by life and the yes, we’ll follow the storyline of Joseph’s life and Junior’s life, but we’ll take a different approach. We’re gonna give that storyline to think about how well we should just give the cost. We’re gonna give the story of Judah and Joseph as they reflected on their lives to reflect on our relationship with the father and his beloved son.

  2. 0:40

And the question that we would do well to reflect on ourselves. And the think about is we do we flesh our identity? Well, Mike, I should ask, what do we pledge our identity to?

  3. 1:06

There’s very many things in there in our lives that distract us. Judas gave us that example in his life where the dedicated glitched his life for his brothers because of his love for the Father.

  4. 1:28

You’ve been taking a different approach this morning. I’ll save you. Sorry. I used to think about who would be the greatest Old Testament example or thought of the Lord Jesus Christ. Who would it be? Sure Joseph would come to mind for us all this is life is that is recorded for us without sin not a flaw against his name is the son that’s specially beloved of his father about this that’s sent by God down into Egypt, Egypt of all places, Egypt’s what for to suffer and head of his brethren to preserve their life and ultimately say the entire world for tribes could go on couldn’t they You could think about the fact that Joseph in his life was constantly seeking his brother’s welfare or their good that he was leaning them to be true men. But our story this weekend is done to that Quinex Manus that moment of truth as these brothers stand there before this Lord of all the earth.

  5. 2:56

That’s that Nathania and they’re in his judgment room and they’re sending you his judgment phone and Trina’s just pulled out his house. He’s just confessed it all to him the full truth telling the whole story. It’s all being revealed and it’s just laid out there openly and he’s waiting for this ruler, this judge.

  6. 3:28

It’s a hand down the reference. Well, Joseph is one of the greatest types of the Lord Jesus Christ. Wouldn’t that then make logical sense that this judgement room is none other than the type of the judgement seats of our law, Jesus Christ? Wouldn’t it make sense that chapter 45 is a tribe of the ultimate judgement day that you and I are going to face before our law, our judgement?

  7. 4:15

Surely Genesis 45 can provide some insights for us, some helpful glimpses into the emotions of the one that we’ve come to remember this evening, of the way he will be feeling, of what his emotions will be like come his judgment day, and in turn, what it will be like for us as we stand there at his judgment. Sorry so to do that, where should we start but turn to Romans chapter eights.

  8. 4:50

So turn if you go that you won’t start to eights and just understand the language that we’re going to see for you in this chapter because one is chapter 8. Hit the hand in Genesis 4 to 5 and see your hand in Romans 8 and in a foot between the two Romans eights is all about the relationship with God and Jesus Christ have to you and I and in verse 34 Paul in Romans chapter 8 asks us a question.

  9. 5:20

He says who is he that convenes us that you and I in 2025? Who is it that at the judgment seat of Jesus Christ he’s going to condemn us? Well, I ask you flip back to Genesis 4 to 5. Who in the chapter that we just read is going to condemn those brothers?

  10. 5:56

Is Joseph? Is Joseph the Zath Nath the deer of the entire world, the one that hasn’t been working in their life? Is he going to condemn these brothers? Most of all, Would he condemn Judah? What we have been given in Genesis 45 is a picture of something that we find very bad to grasp. And there is a judge who wants to save you, a judge who has your back, a judge who’s been working in your life, in the life of these brothers for 20 something years so that he can say well done.

  11. 6:56

Oh good. And if I feel then previous verse in Romans chapter 8 for the fact, if you will, Paul asked another question. I’d love to understand what is verse 33 When I presented like this, it might be easier. Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? Is it God that justifies because God wants to justify us?

  12. 7:30

And so it’s the same question when we think out in the context of Genesis 45, would Joseph really want to lay a charge at Junior’s feet? Just to remember, this is the Joseph that was sold as a slave to die in Egypt. But he’s been the one who has been raised to 2nd in command, the side Pharaoh. He’s the one who has been actively interceding in their lives for their good.

  13. 8:02

Do you see how big odds are Staffs in favour not just of his brothers, but of you and I in verse 35 for asks a different question. He says who could who’s going to separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. Well, I ask you in the context of Genesis 35, who he could separate the Joseph and the love that he had first of all for his father and then for his brothers who could separate that or what could separate that And I made you important.

  14. 8:55

He would lean back in his chair as he writes in this and he’d think good tribulation. What about the stress? That’s Emily went through a lot and a lot of distress.

  15. 9:20

What about persecution? No. What about a what about a worldwide famine? Would that separate us? Joseph’s love Sunday’s about us. That’s exactly what brings them together. And as your next ceiling runs chapter 8, you might read verse 28, break this chapter 8. And at verse 28, it says, we know that all these things work together for good.

  16. 10:09

These are the things that bring families together. It’s very easy to believe that sitting here in these constable seats relatively, when you’re going through trial, that verse is ha. And you just spare a thought for Jane. Do the context Julie a year early had just said all these things are against me.

  17. 10:45

Why is this happening to me? You take them my sons away from me. All these things are against me and he was 100% wrong. God was working in that family via a worldwide famine to bring them back together again.

  18. 11:16

The famine brought Judah home. It brought Jacob to Joseph’s. It was for very good. If you’re still an owns chapter 8 still have me one more power run this chapter 8 opens for the simple phrase. It says there is then no condemnation for those who are in class Jesus. There’s no condemnation for people like that who are in class Jesus. But so often I struggle with that thought. I think how does that first work? Can there not be a condemnation faced against some of those down?

  19. 12:02

What Judy, will I ask you? Can you find a comment, a condemnation in Genesis 45? Can you find a single thing that is held against Huna? Have a look. Chapter 45, verse one, verse 2, verse 3, nothing. Verse 4 is the judge, son, come near. Just just come near to me and give me a hum.

  20. 12:49

That’s the opposite message of what we’ve expect. I’m trying to give you a message down the road. There is is the mark. There was no condemnation. What’s more, Joseph never require an apology just in there never require an apology from his daughters all yes it can in Genesis chapter 50 and it became and it became if his dad said we should say sorry and we’ll talk about that tomorrow.

  21. 13:41

That’s a huge lesson for us to learn in our lives. When people do things against us, we develop our you all tomorrow. We just need it to be understood here as we go forward. You know our judgement though, or a judgment seat experience is often presented or received to some dreadful I don’t like you the trawling through the plasts and it leads us to this feeling and dread or fear and Junior is dead. Scare the yeast on the edge he’s waiting for about verdicts which will determine in his future the United States. Very, very different versions in Islam. Because the judge said, who’s the judge? This is a diving cry of joy.

  22. 14:51

These two emotions can’t be favoured. This is a day that Joseph’s been anticipating for years. It’s a day that Joseph’s been longing for. He’s actually been planning this.

  23. 15:08

All he wants to do is reach out and hug them. It’s a day of restoration. It’s a day of rejoicing for the judge of all the earth. What I’m trying to suggest is that we should shift our perspective about the judgement slips from being a fearful time to being tired of great joy.

  24. 15:44

Because the judgement scene is really all about revealing, about educating, about reuniting, and most of all, it is about work inside us through Jesus Christ and in turn 2 and five and a shift like that brings us in tune with us and on the same page as and having the same emotions as elbow our judge. So let’s have a look at it in Genesis 45, this one. What do we see?

  25. 16:24

The first response that we get from Joseph is that it serves everybody else. We run time to look in detail, but a very simple vision is that the judgement seat is now the public in election. It’s a progress Internet security from no one with us, always a lot of donation about university. There’s a lot of emotion, but so often intense emotion is misunderstood.

  26. 17:03

And those brothers have got an awful lot of fear and terror and they’re trembling. And my transition says that Dunning family, just imagine that whole notice gifts is piling onto those shoulders right now as Joseph says, I and Joseph 20 years worth off. And that’s a grievous burden to have pressing down on your shoulders as you come to realize that he knows everything and the whole triangle in the last two years he knew no, he claimed sitting being bound and being left in prison was meticulously arranged.

  27. 18:09

The money that was in our sacks was completely orchestrated. And that confession that we made in Hebrew in his courtroom when we say that this is happening because of what we did to our brothers heathood and all that falls into place and I can’t, you realise that all things are naked and open to the eyes of him with whom we come to know. And that’s what Paul says in Kyrie’s chapter 4. And then our relationship is 1.

  28. 18:55

And the strength we come to trends with Acts, that’s our relationship moment because he continues in verse 13, that same chapter. And he says the reason why it’s better for us to realise that relationship with our judge is because we understand that we can then come with boldness of all the fire of grace and we can obtain mercy and we can find help in times of need. This fireman is that draft and our mentalization of who our judges, the judge is and our judge’s identity, his character and his personality should bring comforts and quiet confidence to us.

  29. 19:51

But there’s one question, one question kind of out of his lips. It’s in those form. But one question is, is Mona Chandler still alive?

  30. 20:13

Why does Joseph Barks say question? When literally 24 if not Max 48 hours earlier he’s already been told the answer to that question. The chapter 43 verse 28. He asked the brothers, they answered him and they said your servants our father is well. And they also reply by saying he is still alive so why would he ask The question is my father. So what Joseph is actually chance asking is asking you a question and me a question.

  31. 21:03

He wants to know if the Father is alive in you. That’s what the judgement’s about. Is the father alive and active and motivating you? Is his personality the powerful influence and the Dwight in motivating force of your life pacifies?

  32. 21:40

The answer is tongue, and you’ve need one great D these bodies don’t handle. And I think knowing all of this, I still obey too. Come judge from seat down. Have you all strings. You know, there’s a reason why I don’t got no bulb missile confronts here.

  33. 22:16

And the reason is because they have attributed to Joseph all the negative human emotions that we normally would feel towards somebody who has done something against or to us. They’ve attributed to him how they would feel if they were in his position. They’re assuming that Joseph holds bitterness, that Joseph holds the grudge, that Joseph is sparkful towards them. They’ll assume that he holds always less forgiving tendencies.

  34. 23:01

And he doesn’t. And sadly, it’s those emotions that we attribute to our Lord that cloud our true perspective of His true perspective of emotions.

  35. 23:23

He wants to reconcile us. He wants to save us. Just try to grasp the difference between those three points of view that are here in this room and let it shift you. Let’s shift you closer to our law to realize that he loves you and wants to save you and that’s the mindset of our Saviour and he demonstrate that. But looking a few nurses, This is none above stand class, but just a couple of verses.

  36. 24:00

If you take it then swimming your colouring. These problems are Joseph because Joseph understands that it was all about what God is doing for them. Verse 5 God did send me before you. Verse 7 God sent me before you. Let us say it wasn’t you, it was God that sent me before you. Verse 9 God made me law, God did it. Do we get that message is that the lens that we understand the suffering of our law?

  37. 24:44

We’re an appetite for big emblems. Do we understand that we God who sent his son for that purpose. Think about that, he can see the Isaiah 53 which says it pleased the Lord to peruse him. That’s Jesus Christ. Just think about Joseph who was despised and rejected and Judah did not as seen him. You could bring all of those out of 53 during that time this morning, but just connect it to verse 7. What’s verse 7 say but Genesis voice 5. It’s really pleasant.

  38. 25:27

God sent me head of you to preserve you on the earth and to save your lives by great deliverance. Think about that and turn into Jesus Christ.

  39. 25:50

God sent Jesus Christ, the heads of you thousands of years ago to provide a way of salvation on the earth and to save your lives. You know that goes could end with, but it doesn’t. In some translations it says why great deliverance. In other translations it says by a noodle or magnificent deliverance.

  40. 26:23

And is that not what our Lord has done? Young people, your salvation is not achieved begrudgingly. Wow, God, he wants to send you. That’s why he said it, His son. It’s not saying it done by the skin of his teeth and just because or by sleight of hands or by this feeling of our training. Maybe I will just this time

  41. 27:05

Jesus Christ speaks on behalf of God, and he says it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the King. Is that the picture we get from Genesis 45? Do we get a picture of pleasure in Joseph’s eyes?

  42. 27:36

Just turn out of your first fifth time. I’ll only get on quick to his floor. Jump out of the 1st 15. Let’s start the 1st 14. He swoosh himself on a neck at his front of the tune and waits and barely could wet on his neck. YouTube. But then just imagine him training through all his brothers and kissing them and weeping over them. And after that his bars towards peacefully witty, even singing was hurt.

  43. 28:30

And our Lord whips on Syrian’s neck. Is that how you imagine your judgement though? Is that an issue of the judgement? Something like that? Because there are the emotions of our law. You know, we’ve got a human that talks about these ideas and the hymn goes, it’s human 405 and it says, shall we behold the promised land, its streams and downtrodden lust? Shall we be there with the Saints of all the symbol around the judgment phone?

  44. 29:21

The song ends by saying we know the ends and we know the way that is due to show to us. We make the answer. Now it’s this. We make the answer. Yeah. Well, Jennifer Bonos, that’s that bench. Now.

  45. 29:47

He showed us his how he shows us the way and he shows us how it brings. And it’s because of the beautiful speech that he’s just delivered, which focused on his life of the Father, because of this beloved son and the way he demonstrated that in his relationship to his brothers.

  46. 30:11

That is ecclesial life. That is the marvelous way that God has designed your faith to grow, be refined, and be developed in yours. You know our judge is not looking for a speech from you or not.

  47. 30:39

He’s not looking for a speech, right? Judo. Oh yes, he wants that ligged out. Yeah, but our Lord and our judge is wanting to hear true key ideas words from here on and the only use for for Joseph’s faith never words. Come, come, come here and country hurry, hasten. Terry Notch then verse 4, then verse 9 in verse 13 and verse 19 and you know what those same words are in Revelation chapter 23. They’re fire words.

  48. 31:31

They’re our Lords. The horn of words that our Lord and our judge say is that the spirit of the bride himself is come. They said that him that he’s it echo that’s in require come the closing words of the while I’m sureness I can written. Let’s go forward this way as we go forward into our own lives with those same values and those same thoughts, or Even so, come Lord Jesus.
